When I Work is a scheduling app for businesses with hourly staff, such as restaurants, shops, clinics and warehouses. A manager builds the weekly schedule from a template or from scratch, and employees see their shifts on their phones as soon as it is published.
Employees can set their availability, request time off, pick up open shifts and swap shifts with coworkers, with the manager approving changes. A built-in time clock records hours against the schedule, and the hours can go to payroll software.
Messaging is part of the app, so shift changes do not depend on group texts. Check which payroll systems it connects to in your country and which features are in each plan, since time tracking and scheduling may be priced separately.
